Very Rare Pre-Civil War Square Grand Piano By Albert W. Ladd, Boston
Out of stock
The firm of Albert W. Ladd was one of Boston’s finer piano manufacturers. During the mid 19th Century, the firm offered one of the largest varieties of square grand pianos available from one single manufacturer, however, their instruments are exceedingly rare today.
This rare piano was built by Albert W. Ladd circa 1851, making it one of his earlier model pianos. The piano is made of Brazilian Rosewood and is of the Empire Revival style. Note the elaborately painted artwork on the piano harp; only the highest grade, most expensive pianos received this level of detail and decoration.
This piano has been restored to like-new condition, inside and out. The video shown here will give the listener a better understanding how lovely these pianos really do sound after professional restoration! An original piano stool is included.
