Decker Brothers (Chicago)
The Chicago based firm of Decker Brothers (not to be confused with the New York Decker Brothers firm from the 19th Century) was established in 1907. The firm primarily built upright player pianos and coin operated player pianos througout the ‘teens and ‘twenties. Surviving instruments from the Decker Brothers Chicago firm are well made and durable instruments. These instruments are rarely encountered today, indicating that Decker Brothers was likely a smaller firm building insturments in lower volumes than other Chicago piano manufacturers.
